Areas of Knowledge and Experience

Understanding of management of complex environmental projects throughout different phases including: site assessment, source investigation, release determination, ecological and human health impact, contaminant delineation and remediation.

Current duties and successes at TCEQ for 2010-2011 include:

  • Oversaw investigation, planning and remediation of over 70 active sites through review of technical reports, spanning programs such as: Industrial Hazardous Waste/Corrective Action Program, Voluntary Cleanup Program, Petroleum Storage Tank Program and Federal Brownfields Program;
  • Issued over 120 technical decision letters and reports for period 2010-2011;
  • Completed review of approximately 160 environmental reports within 45-60 day allotted time frames, yielding 100% efficiency.
  • Successful Rehabilitation of multi-million dollar Federal Brownfields facility (Belo Garden), Downtown Dallas, Texas – completed April 2011;
  • Approximately 7 Voluntary Cleanup Program Final Certificates of Completion issued in Texas cities such as Houston, El Paso and Dallas.
  • Research complex technical issues involved in site investigation and response proposals;
  • Prepare correspondence and schedule meetings in response to technical report reviews;
  • Travel to site locations for inspection and assessment;
  • Coordinate site cleanup/remediation with responsible parties, state and local officials.
  • Personally nominated for a QERP award through the Employee Recognition Program (ERP) of the Remediation Division of TCEQ (December 2010).
